Against the backdrop of Cold War, Glory to the Queen reveals stories of four legendary female chess players from Georgia who revolutionized women’s chess across the globe and became Soviet icons of female emancipation.
Tatia Skhirtladze rođena je 1976. u Gruziji, ali živi i radi u Beču u Austriji. Studirala je umjetnost i pedagogiju na I. Gogebashvili State College of Pedagogy u Gruziji i diplomirala je na University of Applied Arts u Beču. Magistrirala je na Arts, DAI Dutch Art Institute u Nizozemskoj.
Anna Khazaradze Gruzijka je s diplomom iz režije s London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.Producirala je In Mid Wickedness, za čiju je režiju William Oldroyd dobio nagradu na Sundance Festivalu. Suosnivačica je 1991 Productions s ciljem da u Gruziju dovede najbolje prakse filmske industrije.
Tatia Skhirtladze was born in 1976 in Georgia but she lives and works in Vienna, Austria. She studied Art and Pedagogy at I. Gogebashvili State College of Pedagogy in Georgia and graduated from the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She got M.A. in Arts, DAI Dutch Art Institute in Netherlands.
Anna Khazaradze, from Georgia, holds a degree in directing from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Anna produced a Sundance winning director William Oldroyd’s film In Mid Wickedness. She cofounded 1991 Productions to bring the best practices to their country’s film industry.
Glory to the queen je prikazan na brojnim filmskim festivalima. Film je osvojio nagradu publike na Free Zone Film Festivalu 2020. te je dobio posebno priznanje na festivalu Doqumenta 2020.
Glory to the queen has been shown at numerous festivals. The movie won the audience reward at the Free Zone Film Festival 2020 and received an honorable mention at the Doqumenta 2020.
Aktivnost se održava u sklopu projekta WoW: Women on Women, kojeg sufinanciraju Kreativna Europa i Zaklada Kultura Nova.
