Dualnost postoji u svakom čovjeku: dobro i zlo, pozitivno i negativno, crno i bijelo.
Otkrivamo dugu koja je u svima, ne samo u LGBT populaciji već u ljudima kao cjelini.
Izložba ‘Dvoličnost ljudskog elementa’ je podijeljena na dvije sekcije.
Povezanost s prirodom kroz motive užeta i cvijeća te kombinaciju japanske umjetnosti shibari kulture (čvorova) i ikebane – umjetnosti živog buketa. Osoba se ujedinjuje s prirodnim elementom preko vodiča – užeta, te tijekom dana na sebi nosi miris prirode: tužna vrba, ruža, petunija…
Drugu sekciju karakterizira povezanost s elementima – uže, kao medij, može pokazati toliko više od same vidljive povezanosti tako da veže um i percepciju. Ovim dijelom izložbe autor predočava prirodne elemente prenesene preko užeta u kombinaciji s ljudskim duhom koji je peti element te time ujedno zatvara krug života.
Matija Peček rođen je 1989. godine u gradu Zagrebu. Završio je studij ekonomije, smjer odnosa s javnošću što je vidljivo u njegovim fotografijama i proizvedenim instalacijama koje su nastale kao reakcija na društvo, njihovo zatvorenost i vezanost uz materijalno te manjak duhovne percepcije svijeta oko sebe.
Polaznik je Fotosofie 11. Prvu veliku samostalna izložbu imao je u siječnju 2019. u Knjižnici i čitaonici Bogdana Ogrizovića.
Projekti: ’Mrtve Vaze’ (‘Dead Vases’): instalacije okvira, užeta i cvijeća; ‘Anđeli’: davanje krila ljudima i uzdizanje duha; projekt ‘Priroda’ (‘Nature’): povezanost osobe užetom, kinbakuom i prirodom, ikebanom u jedan cjelovit skladan element.
Izvodi shibari nastupe na događanjima, prodaje okvire i printeve radova, radi kao koncept-fotograf.

Matija Peček: Duality of the Human Element | photo exhibition
There is an innate duality in every human being: good and evil, positive and negative, black and white. We are discovering the rainbow that is present not only within members of the LGBT* community, but within humanity as a whole.
The exhibition ‘Duality of the Human Element’ is divided into two sections.
The first section is concerned with our connection to nature through the motifs of ropes and flowers in combining the Japanese Shibari culture (tying knots) and Ikebana – the art of the living bouquet. One is unified with the natural element through a conductor – the rope, while the scents of willow trees, roses and petunias linger over the body throughout the day.
The other section explores our connection to the elements. The medium of the rope accounts for more than a visual connectedness; it binds the mind and our perception. In this part of the exhibition, the author presents natural elements transferred through the rope and binds a fifth element – the human spirit – which completes the circle of life.
Matija Peček was born in Zagreb in 1989. He graduated from the Public relations department at the Zagreb school of business, which is reflected both in his work as a photographer, as well as in his art installations that serve as a social commentary, its seclusion, its orientation towards the material and the lack of a spiritual perspective of the world.
Peček is attending the Fotosofia 11 seminar. His first major solo exhibit was shown in January 2019 at the Bogdan Ogrizović library.
Projects: ‘Dead Vases’ (installations of frames, ropes and flowers); ‘Angels’ (giving wings to people and lifting their spirit up); ‘Nature’ (connection to nature through the rope, Kinbaku and Ikebana; achieving a wholesome, harmonic element).
He is also a Shibari performer, makes prints and frames and works as a concept photographer.
