Heather O’Neill je nagrađivana novinarka i redateljica. Za svoj rad više je puta dobila prestižne nagrade Emmy i Peabody. Njezin redateljski dokumentarni prvijenac Ne sasvim običan život premijerno je prikazan 2021. godine na Tribeca Film Festivalu. Za Discovery Channel je režirala i producirala emisiju posvećenu morskim psima na Bikini Atollu te intervjuirala Phillipea Cousteaua mlađeg. Producirala je i igrano-dokumentarni film Help Us find Sunil Tripathi, koji je prikazan na festivalima diljem svijeta. Režirala je i producirala desetke dokumentarnih emisija za serijal CNN Presents. Više od desetljeća vodila je projekte za CNN diljem svijeta pokrivajući različite teme, od ledenjaka na Grenlandu, preko ratova na Bliskom istoku, do prijetnji novinarima koji izvještavaju o trgovini drogom u Meksiku.

As colorful as accomplished, these brave photojournalists made their mark by capturing some of the most iconic images from Tiananmen Square, to conflicts in Sarajevo, Iraq, Somalia and the Arab Spring uprising. But the world doesn’t know it was these women behind the camera. In the midst of unfolding chaos, the pictures they took both shocked and informed the world. This feature documentary by director Heather O’Neill tells their remarkable story.
Heather O’Neill is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker. No Ordinary Life, her directorial debut on a feature documentary film, premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. For the Discovery Channel, she traveled to Bikini Atoll to direct and produce a shark conservation special with Philippe Cousteau Jr. She also produced the feature documentary Help Us Find Sunil Tripathi, which screened at festivals around the world. With CNN Presents she directed and produced dozens of documentaries. For over a decade she spearheaded projects for CNN around the world, from melting glaciers in Greenland, to conflicts across the Middle East, to the danger journalists face covering the drug trade in Mexico.
